The hotel is located on the harbor side of town, a fair walk from the seafront and town attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable, albeit slightly small for a double room, but done to a very good standard. The service is super friendly and efficient, especially with Emma, the assistant manager, going above and beyond to assist. The location, though in need of attention, offers a warm luxurious ambiance with leather sofas and chairs. Dining in the Star's River Room restaurant was delightful with a great choice of menu options. Facilities are well-maintained, albeit with room for improvement.

My stay at the hotel was lovely overall. The rooms were very nice with comfy beds and very clean and tidy, although mine had a window facing the hotel's wall, which was not ideal but manageable. Overlooking the river, my room at the very top of the hotel was super clean, bright, and airy, all thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff. However, I would have preferred a front room facing the river. The strange sliding door without handrails was a bit odd.
